What is 'Presbyterianism'?
The word 'Presbyterianism' originates from a Greek word 'Presbuteros' meaning 'Elder' or 'Presbyter'. The Presbyterian system is based on a collective of elected Presbyters and Ministers.
The Presbyterian Church of Ghana is a Protestant church in Ghana. The church was started by the Basel missionaries on 18 December 1828. The missionaries had been trained in Germany and Switzerland to spread Christianity at the Gold Coast, Ghana.
